Brett Chisholm styled by The Style Doctor for The Championships Day 2 at Royal Randwick.
It's the Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day today Saturday, 11 April 2015 and I wanted to style Brett in a stylish look fit for a queen and to impress other racegoers in the TAB marquee and the Members area where he will be spending his time. It needed to meet the ATC dress regulations (jacket, shirt & tie) but I also wanted to add Brett's personality to the look so I went for something a bit different to the usual suit look.
When dressing for the races, it's all about attention to detail. I chose a beautiful navy Herringbone weave wool jacket from M.J. Bale with white stitching and white buttons on the sleeve. The white detail on the jacket went perfectly with the white pants from Farage. I chose a brown leather shoe from Farage because a lighter tone goes better with the white pants (black shoes would be too dark).
I chose a pale blue and white cotton pin stipe shirt with french cuffs which was also from M.J. Bale worn with an Australian Golf Club tie in navy and red. Finally I gave him a beautiful pair of Cartier cufflinks to wear which went perfectly with the red in the tie.
